Liquid crystal element

Abstract

PURPOSE: To lessen the loss of the light quantity of a light source and to improve the transmittance of an overall bright state to the light source so that a display of a high grade is executed by using the electroluminescence type light source formed with phosphorescent molecular assemblage having the orientation order as a light emitting layer. CONSTITUTION: This element has a polarizing plate 1 which is an analyzer, a liquid crystal panel 2, and the EL type light source 3 formed with the phosphorescent molecular assemblage 23 having the orientation order as the light emitting layer. The EL type light source 3 is constituted by holding the molecular assemblage 23 having the orientation order being the phosphor in place between a glass substrate 21 having transparent electrodes 22 and a metallic electrode 24.
