Luminance-chrominance signal separation circuit

Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize three-dimensional luminance.chrominance signal separation of a few residual images and high motion adaptivity by adding the difference signal of each output of an inter-frame luminance.chrominance signal separation circuit and an inter-line luminance.chrominance signal separation circuit to the separate output of the inter-line luminance.chrominance signal separation circuit after amplitude- limiting each output of the separation circuits. CONSTITUTION: The output Cl or the inter-line luminance.chrominance signal separation circuit 1 is supplied to an adder 22 and a subtracter 23, and on the other hand, the output Cf of the inter-frame luminance.chrominance signal separation circuit 8 is supplied to the subtracter 23 and a motion detection circuit 24. Then, the difference signal Cf-Cl obtained by a subtracter 23 is sent to the adder 22 through the amplitude limitation circuit 25 of a succeeding stage. In this case, the amplitude limitation circuit 25 amplitude-limits the difference signal Cf-Cl of the separate output Cf of the inter- frame luminance.chrominance signal separation circuit 8 and the separate output Cl of the inter-line luminance. chrominance signal separation circuit 1, and changes a limited amplitude value according to a signal to show the motion of a picture the motion detection circuit 24 detects.
